My Theoretical Approach:

 

  • I incorporate Person-Centred, Humanistic and Integrative, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming into my work.
  • I specialise in working with couples using John Gottman and Harville Hendrix Imago Models.
  • I explore the client’s problem in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential setting.
  • I believe that we all have the ability to heal ourselves and the capacity to change, if we wish to do so.
  • I offer my clients unconditional support in their quest to reach their potential and to gain the strength and the confidence to help themselves in the future.

Professional Development:

 

  • I obtained a Professional Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the Tivoli Institute, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
  • I hold accredited membership of the Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP).
  • I am an accredited supervisor with IAHIP and I supervise other therapists, supervisors and student counsellors.
  • I also hold Certificates in Critical Incident Stress Management & Neuro Linguistic Programming.
  • I have Diplomas in Training and Education and in Community Development Practice from NUI Galway.
